Appart'City Confort Montpellier Saint Roch
Aparthotel in Montpellier
Presentation
’Appart’City Confort Montpellier Saint Roch is located on boulevard Berthelot, a few minutes’ walk from the Nouveau Saint-Roch tram stop. The facade is clean and was renovated in 2019, in a neighborhood where you are more likely to see residents than rolling suitcases. In the evening, the street becomes quiet again.
Place de la Comédie is not right outside the building. Allow just under 15 minutes on foot to reach it, and about the same for Saint-Roch train station. This can also be seen as an advantage: the walk takes you through ordinary Montpellier streets before you reach the narrow lanes of the Écusson. On hot days, or with tired children, tram lines 2 and 4 make the trip in just a few stops.
At the front desk, open day and night, you will be given your key along with a few directions to help you get around the neighborhood. The team speaks French, English, and Spanish, and they are often the first thing guests mention when they leave.
As you head up to the upper floors, you quickly understand how the property works. Each accommodation has its own kitchen, with a stovetop, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker—everything you need to prepare a real dinner after a day exploring the city or working. The air conditioning provides both cooling and heating, useful in August as well as January. On the TV, Chromecast lets you stream a series from your phone, and a desk area awaits those with a laptop in their bag.
The double studios remain compact, at around 18 m². They are designed for setting down your belongings, doing a little cooking, and sleeping well, which is more than enough for two people for a few nights. For a family or a longer stay, the large studio or one-bedroom apartment, with its sofa bed, offers more room to breathe.
From the morning onward, the ground-floor buffet offers croissants, yogurt, eggs, and cheeses. You can also skip it and make coffee in your accommodation, then head down to the small garden at the back, with its gravel, plants, and a few lounge chairs in the shade. In the evening, when you do not feel like cooking, the front desk takes pizza orders.
The self-service laundry facilities, pet-friendly policy, and option to request housekeeping as needed make this a practical choice for stays of a week or more.
By car, the underground parking garage saves you from looking for a space on nearby streets. Spaces are limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is best to reserve one at the same time as your accommodation. When leaving, the exit requires a little attention behind the wheel, but nothing that will spoil your stay.
One tip for Sunday morning: the buffet is not served that day or on public holidays, so remember to check with the front desk. Buy your bread the day before and have breakfast in the garden, which is often sunny before 10 a.m.
