Aparthotel Adagio access Montpellier Centre

Aparthotel in Montpellier

Presentation

Aparthotel Adagio Access Montpellier Centre opened in early 2019 in the Port Marianne area, just steps from the city hall designed by Jean Nouvel, the large dark cube on the banks of the Lez. It is a recent building with clean lines, with the tram passing very close by. Guests come for the freedom of a studio with a kitchen, at a reasonable price, without giving up a real hotel front desk.

Once through the door, everything revolves around the front desk, open day and night. When the last train arrives late at Saint-Roch, that is reassuring. The rather young team comes up again and again in guest reviews: they will point you to the right tram stop, the route to the beaches, and a place to have dinner without walking too far.

It takes a little under 15 minutes, sometimes 20 minutes, to reach Place de la Comédie on foot. The Écusson is not just around the corner. In return, Voltaire station is four minutes away and the train station can also be reached on foot, suitcase in hand. The walk can even become a stroll, heading up through the colonnades of Antigone, Ricardo Bofill’s neoclassical neighborhood, as far as the Polygone. Then the Comédie comes into view.

On the upper floors, the 102 studios follow the same logic. A double bed or two twin beds, a small desk, a bathroom with a shower, and a kitchenette well equipped enough to prepare a real meal. The smallest are 21 m² for two guests, while the largest are 28 m² with a balcony for a family of four. Modern décor, neutral tones. The air conditioning is welcome from the first warm days, which arrive early in Montpellier.

The spaces remain compact. In the entry-level studios, the kitchen area is right next to the bed, so it is best to crack open the window when sautéing onions and opt for simple dishes: a salad, cheese, tomatoes picked up along the way. For four guests, the studio with a balcony is worth the extra cost.

From morning onward, the breakfast buffet is waiting on the ground floor. Classic and hearty, with enough to keep you going until noon. Those who prefer their studio will find a convenience store right downstairs for bread, milk, and any evening essentials.

For longer stays, the laundry room means you do not have to fill your suitcase with dirty clothes. The paid underground parking must be reserved through the front desk. Spaces are limited, so it is best to arrange it before arriving. Once parked, you can reach the upper floors without going back outside, which makes all the difference with children and grocery bags.

If your train arrives before 3 p.m., leave your luggage in the luggage room and walk to the banks of the Lez, just steps away. By the time you have had a coffee, your studio will be ready.

Summary of a few positive reviews read online

  • Arrived around noon, and the studio was already ready and cleaned. I was able to put down my bags and catch my breath before a long day. Otherwise, luggage storage is available at the front desk.
  • Superior studio for us with a large bed and sofa bed, small studio with two twin beds for the children. Smaller, but just as well organized. Direct access from the parking garage to the rooms, convenient with suitcases.
  • Kitchen equipped down to the smallest details: dish soap, sponge, dish towel. Shower gel, shampoo, and a hair dryer in the bathroom. Nothing to buy upon arrival.
  • Tram a few minutes away, Saint-Roch train station within walking distance. You can forget about the car for the entire stay. Attentive welcome, reasonable rates for the area.
  • Studio for 4 people with a terrace, well designed for a stay with teenagers. The convenience store at the bottom of the residence is handy for evening groceries.
  • In the morning, coffee is available from the breakfast machine. The housekeeping and maintenance staff are just as friendly as the front desk team.
